Routines

Each classroom has a Daily Routine posted to help children feel safe, confident, and ready to explore each day. Our routines are consistent and predictable, providing children with a sense of security and helping them understand what to expect throughout the day. This consistency supports smooth transitions between activities and allows children to feel calm and prepared, whether moving from playtime to snack, outdoor exploration, or circle time.

While structured, our routines also provide flexibility to meet the needs of the group and individual children. They allow ample time for exploration, creativity, and meaningful play, giving children the opportunity to follow their own curiosity while learning new skills.

Play-Based Planning

Our educators thoughtfully plan provocations and invitations to play that are inspired by each child’s interests, strengths, and developmental stage. These experiences are designed to spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and promote creativity, communication, and collaboration. By observing children closely, educators can extend learning in ways that are meaningful and responsive to each child’s needs.

Families can stay connected to their child’s day through Brightwheel, where photos, notes, and updates are shared regularly. This gives parents and caregivers the chance to see what their child is exploring, discovering, and learning, helping them feel connected and engaged in their child’s experiences.

We also create Learning Stories, which are displayed in classrooms and on the parent boards. These stories highlight significant moments in children’s play, celebrate their achievements and creativity, and capture their growth over time. Learning Stories provide families with a meaningful glimpse into the learning and development that happens every day, helping to strengthen the connection between home and the Centre.
