Arrival and Departure
Upon arriving, your child must be escorted to a staff member on duty. Our responsibility beings when the parents inform us that their child has arrived. It is the parents’ responsibility to dress and undress your child upon arrival and departure.
Staff must be notified if a person other than yourself will be picking up your child. The person should be prepared to show I.D. if it is their first time at the Centre.
Parents are asked to please call the Centre before 9:00 a.m. if your child is going to be absent or late.
Drinking and Driving Policy
The Mattawa Child Care Centre staff are to follow specific procedures should a parent (or any authorized person) who has been drinking arrive to pick up their child. All staff are instructed to request that the parent take a taxi or call the other parent to come and get them and the child. If the parent does not observe the request, the Ontario Provincial Police will be called to aid the staff.
